Entry into the morning or afternoon classes is determined by skill level, and each comprises four classes per day.<\/p>\n<h6>Beginner class<\/h6>\n<p>Students study a variety of vocabulary, expressions, listening and conversation in order to gain a basic foundation in Japanese. Daily practice of necessary vocabulary and kanji is reinforced by frequent testing.<\/p>\n<h6>Intermediate class<\/h6>\n<p>Using the textbook as a base, the intermediate class aims to consolidate and improve vocabulary, grammar, reading skills as well as descriptive and debating skills. The overall goal of the intermediate class is to give students more familiarity in using Japanese in diverse contexts. The intermediate class provides extra classes to improve grammar and listening.<\/p>\n<h6>Advanced class<\/h6>\n<p>By working to improve on the vocabulary, grammar, reading, writing learned in the intermediate class, the advanced class aims to give students practical knowledge of Japanese as a living language. This includes both increased practice for the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) and Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students (EJU), and study using a greater number of real-world materials, such as newspapers, magazines, news, and television dramas to help students.<\/p>\n<h6>Elective Credits<\/h6>\n<p>In addition to intensive courses for the JLPT and EJU, students can also choose from courses such as traditional cultural courses, Japanese drama courses, and Business Japanese courses.<\/p>\n<p>\u25a0Example Courses: Japanese in Manga &#038; Anime, Japanese in Television &#038; Film, Japanese Literature (novels &#038; poetry), Japanese in Newspapers and Magazines, Business Japanese, Japanese History &#038; Geography, Presentation Skills, Situational Conversation, etc.<br \/>\u25a0Japanese cultural events: learning how to make wind chimes, put on yukata and other Japanese traditions including, tea ceremony, origami, making Washi, Japanese food, Maid cafe experiential tour, pottery trial, etc.<\/p>\n<h6>School Trips<\/h6>\n<p>To improve students\u2019 understanding of Japanese life, classes take several trips to culturally and traditionally significant places.
