With its proliferation of universities, technical colleges and preparatory schools, Takadanobaba has earned its reputation throughout Japan as a place for students. It is well-known both for its proximity to important transit hubs such as Ikebukuro, Shinjuku and Shibuya, and for Waseda University, the most prominent and respected of its many educational institutions.

How to get to WFLC from the station:
Exit the ticket gates, turn right,
exit the station building, turn right again,
pass the police box and Big Box Building and continue up the hill.
At the intersection, turn left past Sukiya and continue straight for approximately 80 m, where you will see the school on the right.
Exit the ticket gates, turn left,
continue under the tracks, turn left again
and then right, pass FamilyMart Convenience store on your left and continue on this road for approximately 3 minutes.

continue straight on this road and crossing a signal with Sukiya and continue straight .
continue along Waseda Avenue (toward Waseda),
turn right at Totsuka Daini Elementary School,
continue on this road past Waseda Seminar, turn right at the following intersection (you will see a soba restaurant). You should see the school on the right.
